Peugeot extends its partnership with Roland-Garros to Latin America in 2013

Peugeot renews its partnership with Roland-Garros for the 29the year as well as its undertaking as the official transport provider for the French Open. On this occasion, Peugeot renews the Roland-Garros special editions in Europe, China and for the first time presents them in Latin America. Finally, Peugeot is making available a fleet of two hundred vehicles and ten scooters.

 
 


For the fifth year in succession, as part of the  “Road to Roland-Garros” programme Peugeot is carrying the players at the tournament, who are the subject of a playful and original interview inside a 3008 Roland-Garros during the journey between their hotel and the grounds at the Porte d’Auteuil.
For the 2012 event, the programme has been relayed by nearly 20 television broadcasters around the world with a total audience of more than 375 million people. After China, Latin America…

Last year, for the first time in its history, Peugeot built and sold in China three Roland-Garros special editions based on 308, 408 and on 508.
This year, four Latin American countries are marketing Roland-Garros special editions: Argentina with the 3008, Mexico with the 207 CC, 308 CC and 3008, Chile with the 308 CC and finally Brazil, with the 3008, 308 CC and 308.

 

Top of the range special editions

In Europe, Peugeot markets several Roland-Garros special edition vehicles. Accordingly, 207CC, 308CC and 3008 carry the colours and specific equipment such as the “Cross of St Andrew” perforated Guérande leather trim.


As regards two-wheelers, Peugeot Scooter presents the Satellis 125i Roland-Garros.
Equipped with a low friction efficiency (LFE) injection engine, it makes no compromises between elegance and performance.
Capable of reaching 115 km/h, with lively acceleration, its power is well controlled with fuel consumption of 3.5L/100 km (80.7 mpg). For its looks, it pushes excellence to the full with its white bodywork, alloy wheels, two-tone saddle with yellow stitching, in a flash the tournament tennis balls, and passenger backrest stamped Roland-Garros. Nor does it forget the essentials with its XXL storage compartment, capable of accommodating two racquets under the seat. The French Touch at your service.


Finally, Peugeot Cycles presents a limited edition of the RG01, with a lightweight aluminium frame, hydraulic disc brakes and 9-speed rapid-fire gears. This bicycle is available throughout the Peugeot dealer network.

A world famous Grand Slam tournament

Roland-Garros, one of the four Grand Slam tournaments, opens its doors to the public from 26 May to 9 June 2013. The Paris tournament, transmitted to more than a hundred countries in five continents, is a tremendous opportunity for communication at international level for Peugeot.
