The new PEUGEOT 308 wins 5 stars in the Euro NCAP tests

Presented first at the Frankfurt Motor Show and launched at the end of September in France and Germany, the new PEUGEOT 308 saloon has just been awarded the maximum score of 5 stars in the Euro NCAP tests.

With individual scores of 5 stars in all 4 categories (adult protection, child protection, pedestrian protection and safety assist), the new PEUGEOT 308 confirms its high levels of safety.

The tests carried out by the independent Euro NCAP organisation were done using the new tighter protocol for allocating results. With individual scores of 5 stars in all 4 categories (adult protection, child protection, pedestrian protection and safety assist), the new PEUGEOT 308 confirms its high levels of safety, particularly in the equipment fitted as standard:

- Cruise control-speed limiter,

- ESP,

- Six airbags (two frontal, two lateral, two curtain)

- Three point anchorage Isofix mountings

- Electric parking brake and Hill Start Assist from trim level 2

The new PEUGEOT 308 also benefits from other innovative driving assistance systems:

- Active cruise control ,

- Collision risk alert

- Automatic emergency braking,

- Keyless entry and starting

- Blind spot sensors

- Reversing camera

- Peugeot Connect SOS (emergency call) and Peugeot Connect Assistance services

The Peugeot i-Cockpit in the new PEUGEOT 308 also contributes towards the feeling of well being on board, thanks to its small steering wheel, head-up instrument panel, large 9.7’’ touch screen and tall console.

Finally, numerous connected services are offered for the new PEUGEOT 308, the PEUGEOT Connect Apps, based on mobile internet technology. Thanks to the ergonomics of the touch screen, the applications developed are easy to access and intuitive in use. The driver has available practical information in real time, facilitating use of the vehicle in everyday life : danger areas (via the Coyote application), free parking spaces nearby, fuel prices in filling stations nearby, traffic information, weather, tourist information, diary, etc.

The launch of the new PEUGEOT 308 continues in the major European markets and two months after being put on sale has already recorded more than 24,000 orders.
