PEUGEOT is unveiling three world premières at the 88th Geneva International Motor Show on 6 March

  • The new PEUGEOT 508, a radical saloon with a sharp style promises an intense driving experience. It is an expression of the brand's ambition in its market segment.

PEUGEOT's stand has a new, clean, on-brand design that serves as a showcase for these three world premières. The light-coloured walls are accented with vivid visuals and luminous touches. Blue LEDs and a backlit sign on the stand's ceiling allow it to stand out from afar. Visitors will find five different areas and a lounge within the 1,320 square metre space.

  • Three world premières: the new PEUGEOT 508, the new PEUGEOT RIFTER and the PEUGEOT RIFTER 4X4 CONCEPT show car, will be on display next to the LION.
  • PEUGEOT Design Lab will display the Sea Drive Concept, developed for BENETEAU, PEUGEOT brand image products, and the electric assist scooter and folding bicycle.
  • PEUGEOT technology, including the EAT8 automatic 8-speed gearbox, the PureTech 225 hp petrol engine and BlueHDi 130 hp diesel engine, and the latest driver assistance features.
  • PEUGEOT SPORT will display the 2018 208 WRX, the 308 TCR, as well as the 208 and 308 GTis by PEUGEOT SPORT, looking smart in Blue and Black.
  • PEUGEOT Metropolis, a three-wheeled scooter, presented here in Emerald Crystal blue.

THE NEW PEUGEOT 508: the radical saloon

The new PEUGEOT 508 has a muscular, sharp design. Its saloon/coupé 5-door fastback shape is elegant and reserved. The front is inspired by the PEUGEOT Instinct, with an opalescent vertical LED light signature. The rear stands out with sharp, 3-D LED lights that are connected with a glossy black horizontal strip. The frameless doors reinforce its coupé appearance, while the tailgate offers easy boot access.
The interior is amazing, with a dashboard taken right from the Exalt concept car. The PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® includes a compact, double-flat steering wheel, a capacitive 10-inch HD touchscreen with 7 toggle switches below it and a 12.3-inch head-up display. It can be configured to have Boost or Relax ambiances. The driver selects their ideal driving mode (Eco, Sport, Comfort, Normal) for a daily experience that is both stimulating and intuitive.
Equipped with the latest technologies. The EAT8 automatic 8-speed gearbox is used for most PureTech 180 hp and 225 hp petrol engines and 130 hp, 160 hp, and 180 hp BlueHDi diesel engines. The variable-damping controlled suspension (available on some versions) and the multi-link rear axle offer an ideal mix of dynamism, comfort, and safety. A brand-new night vision system detects living beings up to 200 metres away.
The PEUGEOT 508 is the worldwide standard bearer of the brand’s move upmarket. This can be seen in the choice of materials, including Alcantara® and Nappa leather upholstery and the FOCAL® high fidelity audio system.

The PEUGEOT RIFTER is a perfect blend of robust and streamlined styles. With its rugged spirit, it is just as home in the "urban jungle" as it is in a natural environment. Equipped with the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®, it offers a driving experience that can be found nowhere else in its category. Available in two lengths, with either 5 or 7 seats, it offers multi-functionality and modularity. It can be powered by efficient 1.2 PureTech 110 hp and 130 hp petrol engines or by 1.5 BlueHDi 75 hp, 100 hp, and 130 hp diesel engines. It comes with the latest driver assistance features. Built on an adapted EMP2 modular platform, it can hold up under the most demanding usage conditions.
The PEUGEOT RIFTER 4x4 CONCEPT show car, is for discovering wide open spaces. Equipped with an all-wheel drive system developed by DANGEL, custom tyres and a raised 80 mm ground clearance, its style is striking and it stands ready to tackle any terrain. An Overland tent, which can be set up over the roof, helps you to explore further. The all-terrain PEUGEOT eM02 FS PowerTube bicycle, with electric assistance, features a new frame with a built-in battery. It is associated with the PEUGEOT RIFTER 4X4, to help you expand your horizons. This bicycle was dreamt up by the PEUGEOT Design Lab and is the forerunner of future PEUGEOT eBikes.

THE PEUGEOT LION, the new brand ambassador

This LION embodies the brand's pride, the pride born of uncompromising quality. This commitment to quality is part of PEUGEOT's DNA, and has been for 200 years.
This sculpture commemorates the PEUGEOT emblem's 160-year history, which was first created in 1858. The Lion in profile astride an arrow symbolises the three qualities of the saw blades PEUGEOT originally produced: flexibility, resistance to dents, and fast cutting. It's a monumental work of art, 12.5 metres long and 4.8 metres high, created by the PEUGEOT Design Lab designers.

PEUGEOT DESIGN LAB: expertise for the world beyond cars

The Global Brand Design studio's designers' mission is to make PEUGEOT's expertise and knowledge available to non-automotive external clients.
The Sea Drive Concept, developed by PEUGEOT for BENETEAU, explores the future of steering for the boating world. It blends the intuitive PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® (small steering wheel, head-up display and touchscreen with toggle switches) with Ship Control® connected technology. This on-board computer, developed by BENETEAU, makes it easier to navigate and live on a boat.
PEUGEOT Design Lab oversees the design of PEUGEOT bicycles and designs mobility solutions. The e-Kick scooter, developed with MICRO, and the PEUGEOT eF02 folding bicycle both come with electric assist and will both be on display in Geneva. These mobility options are perfect for covering the last few kilometres of a trip after parking the car.
PEUGEOT Design Lab creates designs for PEUGEOT brand image products. Luggage, drills, salt and pepper mills, watches, and clothing from the PEUGEOT Legend range will be on display. An original surfboard, dedicated to the 208 GTi will also be on display. Designers will be in attendance at the stand in Geneva, in the "lab" area, to illustrate and explain the studio's expertise.

PEUGEOT TECHNOLOGY: the new EAT8 gearbox, efficient engines, and driver assistance features

The automatic 8-speed EAT8 gearbox will be displayed on the PEUGEOT 308 GT saloon with a 180 hp BlueHDi engine, as well as on a demonstration model. Developed with the Japanese company AISIN, this gearbox reduces fuel consumption by 7% compared to the EAT6. It is easy to use and provides exceptional gear shifting.
Demonstration models of the PureTech 225 hp petrol engine and 130 hp BlueHDi diesel engine will also be displayed. These engines meet the Euro 6c emissions standard. They are available on the new PEUGEOT 308 and 508 (3008 for the 130 hp BlueHDi engine). The 1.6 PureTech 225 hp engine comes with a particle filter (GPF). The 1.5 BlueHDi 130 hp engine has a selective catalytic reactor to process NOx emissions.
A "PEUGEOT Amplified Experience" immersion area will allow visitors to test driver assistance features using a SAMSUNG Gear virtual reality headset. A FOCAL® headset will allow them to fully enter the experience. Testable driver assistance features include: automatic emergency braking, Advanced Grip Control, the active blind-spot monitoring system, adaptive cruise control, and the lane departure warning system.

PEUGEOT SPORT: 208 WRX, 308 TCR, 208 and 308 GTi by PEUGEOT SPORT

PEUGEOT is deepening its commitment to rallycross in 2018, with Sébastien Loeb's new PEUGEOT 208 WRX going on exclusive display in Geneva. In its new colours, this racing beast is ready to take on the highly contested FIA World RX Championship, with its spectacular starts. Weighing 1,300 kg, and with 4 driven wheels, 560 hp, and 850 Nm of torque, it can go from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2 seconds. Now equipped with new aerodynamic features and 100% cared for by PEUGEOT SPORT's technical dream team, it will aim for even better performance this year than last.
The new PEUGEOT 308 TCR, the sporty version of the PEUGEOT 308 GTi from PEUGEOT SPORT is a major update for the PEUGEOT 308 Racing Cup, built for the highly dynamic TCR category, and already tapped for the new WTCR championship. With the latest competition technology, its THP engine and 4-cylinder turbocompressor block generates 350 hp. Its impressive design blends an athletic build with optimised aerodynamics. The front bumper and rear extractor generate maximum traction for even better performance and competitiveness.
208 and 308 series GTi models by PEUGEOT SPORT offer muscular design and high-level performance that honours their famous forerunners. The PEUGEOT SPORT engineers have refined their engine's design, their brakes, and their frames. The models on display in Geneva sport a Blue/Black Coupe Franche that accentuates their radical style. The 208 is painted matte Black towards the front and Magnetic Blue towards the rear. The 308 is painted Magnetic Blue towards the front and Perla Nera Black towards the rear. This combination was unveiled last July and will be on display for the wider public.

PEUGEOT SCOOTERS presents their three-wheel PEUGEOT Metropolis with an Emerald Crystal paint job. This elegant shade of blue was first seen on the 2008 and 5008 PEUGEOT SUVs. Launched in January 2017, this scooter uses technology from the automotive world, including a hands-free start system, tyre pressure management and ABS brakes. It is the only 3-wheeled scooter that is entirely made in France, at the Mandeure plant in Franche-Comté.
This year, PEUGEOT SCOOTERS is celebrating 120 years of bold technological innovations. It is the oldest two-wheel motor vehicle brand in the world. It includes iconic models such as the PEUGEOT 103, or the S55, its first scooter model, while also developing the mobility solutions of the future. An example is the PEUGEOT 2.0, the first fully connected electric scooter, released 20 years after the Scoot'elec, PEUGEOT's first electric scooter.
